Live each moment like its your last

I wasn’t sure what I was going to write about today because I hadn’t been “inspired” or given any “off the wall” ideas so I wasn’t going to write anything at all…

until I received a call 15 mins ago that is…my co-worker told me that one of the girls who used to pick up her cousins from the daycare I work at had died and I was and still am in shock. She was sick for awhile but coping with it but I was told that she caught the flu and that on top of being sick already is what ended her life. We weren’t that close but I liked her because she was full of life, craziness and energy and she didn’t let her sickness stop her from living life. I didn’t agree with a lot of the decisions she made regarding the way she chose to live her life but I respected the fact that she lived life according to her terms and didn’t want sympathy from anyone. I am glad that she was able to live her life the best way she saw fit and has inspired me to do the same.

I can’t go around feeling sorry for myself about what I don’t have or haven’t done when there are others much worse off that don’t let their challenges stop them from living their best lives possible.

Thank you Cassandra for opening my eyes and allowing me to see the bigger picture…
