30 Days of Truth Day 1: Something you hate about yourself

truth1Hey everyone! The “Confidence Campaign” is well underway and September was the introduction.I have so many ideas in store and I know a lot of you guys are excited for the theme this month (Sexual Confidence) because many of you expresses your hesitance and fear of performance behind closed doors. I have a few experiences that I will be sharing in the near future as well as some tips on how to feel your best for your significant other when the time comes. Today however is the beginning of something a bit deeper. To have confidence in any aspect of your life, you have to be completely honest with yourself. The 30 days of truth exercise is a tool that will help you see yourself for who you are and who you would like to be. I did this exercise last year with my girl O’Dellia and it was definitely an eye opener but this year, I want to go even deeper and unlike last year where I didn’t share many of the days with you, I plan on sharing most of them especially the ones that relate to confidence. Today is the first day of the exercise and the question is “Something you hate about yourself. ” I didn’t want to write this in advance and have the urge to edit anything out so here is my truth for today:

I hate that I am afraid of failure. I am afraid of failing in all aspects of my life and when I do fail, it sets me 10 steps back. I failed my road test 2 years ago and have been hesitant to take it ever since. As a result, my permit expired and now I have to take the written test AND the road test and pass both to get my license. Things like this that come so easy to others seem to be a stumbling block for me. I think that if I can get over my fear of not doing everything right the first time, I will be able to accomplish so much more. I also hate that I over think everything. I have a tendency to  pick apart every situation and when things don’t work out the way I want them to, I blame myself for the failures and mistakes that came along the way. Confidence isn’t about being perfect all the time but striving to be the best version of yourself and I think that during this whole campaign, I am doing just that:)
