Everyone Matters Day

Forgive me for my terrible handwriting but you get the point:p

Good Morning Everyone! Today is the 2nd year that thousands of people in cities around the country will take part in the #everyonematters campaign today.  I was so excited this morning to post about this campaign because I feel that so many of us don’t realize how important and special we are to others and that we are more alike than different and that even our differences are unique and amazing. This campaign is simple but very effective. As soon as I heard about it, I immediately became excited especially since I feel that it ties in so well with the “Confidence Campaign” that I have worked on. In order to be a confident person, you have to be a positive person who not only wants the best for themselves, but for others as well.

All you have to do is post a selfie (Instagram addicts this is definitely up your alley!) holding up a sign that says “I am ____” You can fill in the blank with whatever adjective or phrase that you feel best represents who you are. I picked “I am confident” to hold up and post for obvious reasons but I would have also said something like “I am a showstopper” and ” I am unique” because those are other qualities that I feel represent who I am. After taking the selfie, make sure you use the hashtag #everyonematters on all of your social media pages while posting. There is a saying that goes “Bad news travels fast” but this time, let’s put that same amount of energy and urgency for something positive. You never know who is watching and how you can affect others by posting something so simple yet so powerful. Make sure you read more about the campaign on http://www.everyonemattersday.com and use the hashtag #everyonematters to spread awareness.

Can’t wait to view everyone’s selfies! Always remember to love and live luxuriously!
