Good Morning! I hope everyone had an amazing weekend. On Friday, I wanted you all to use Day 3 and 4 of the “30 Day Confidence Challenge” to think of short-term goals that you want to achieve. It could be something as simple as taking time out to do your favorite activity once a week or something a bit more difficult like eating healthier. The goals should be ones that are confidence boosters and after you achieve them, you feel better about yourself and what the future brings. Before you can achieve any goal, you must have the right mindset to start with. Positive thinking is essential for achieving your goals because you have to believe you can do something before you actually do it. It can be difficult to have continuous positive thoughts especially when there is negativity all around whether it’s coming from your family, friends, coworkers or just life’s challenges in general. In times like these, you have to remember that there is always something to be thankful for. For every bad situation that you may encounter, there is always someone who has it worse than you. Being thankful for the little things is a place to start when thinking positively. Think of the positive things that happen as lights that are leading you through the darkness. They will increase in intensity as long as you give positive energy to them. Thinking negativity will dim those “positive” lights and leave you in a constant state of darkness.
In the popular book “The Secret” (which I’m reading), it emphasizes that we are what we attract. What we attract all starts in the mind and is delivered through our actions. If we think about what we want and put that energy into the atmosphere, we can have it and if we think about what we don’t want, we can have that as well. In other words, don’t waste your time thinking about the things you don’t want or don’t like and start thinking about the positive you want to come your way. Put those thoughts and ideas into action and you will definitely receive your hearts desires and then some!
I know it won’t be easy to maintain a positive frame of mind everyday so let’s start with today. Whenever you feel negativity creeping into your mental space, STOP it. Do whatever you have to do to bring yourself back to a positive mental space whether it’s taking a few minutes out for yourself for me time (Day 1 challenge), or thinking of things that make you smile (Day 2 challenge), make sure to do something because negative thoughts lead to negative actions whether you are conscious of it or not. The mind is a powerful instrument that can be beneficial or harmful to your life. Being positive will allow us to become the best versions of ourselves in all aspects of life and leading by example will help others do the same.
I want this to be an INTERACTIVE experience so please make sure you comment on here, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with your thoughts and suggestions about the “Confidence Challenge” and encourage others to join in as well. Make sure you use the hashtags #confidencechallenge and #confidencecampaign when posting. I look forward to reading your posts 🙂
Always remember to love and live luxuriously!
